Visitors Book (You can see this in full below!)
Railway cottage was newly renovated in 2009 and we are proud of the positive feedback received from our guests! Here are some recent extracts from our visitors book!
September 2010 We had a lovely week at "Railway Cottage" the children (and us) loved watching the trains go by. The cottage really is in a beautiful spot. The cottage was very well equipped and really clean and tidy. Thank you for the bottle of wine and fresh fruit juice - this was a lovely surprise. We had fabulous weather so we made use of our bikes and enjoyed a number of cycle rides around Newton upon Rawcliffe, Dalby Forest and also direct from the cottage following the train track - fabulous! The children enjoyed fishing for the first time and caught some trout, which they thought was fantastic.
June 2010 We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The cottage was cosy, warm, and comfortable, with everything we could possibly want, and it was great to watch the trains go by so close, (and also to watch all the birds). Lize was very friendly and helpful, and we were so grateful for the shopping she kindly did for us when we arrived.I managed to fill a whole page of the visitors' book (sorry!) with positive comments and helpful info (I hope!) re local places etc. So, thanks again. Your cottage is lovely and we all had a great time!
March 2010 ‘We are all back but wish we were not! It was one of those holidays that flew by and we wished we had more days. We had the best week ever and loved Railway cottage. We loved the peace and quiet and the trains and enjoyed a trip to Goathland. We enjoyed watching the various birds on the feeder and even filled it up for them. I cannot think of anything we did not like about the Cottage it was perfect and by far the nicest we have ever stayed in. Clean comfortable modern and fresh but still with character the perfect combination.
